The
Transat - Further Official Suppliers To The Transat
Announced
Renault
UK, Europe's largest car and van supplier, have
become the official vehicle supplier to The Transat
2004. Renault will be showcasing their Espace
and Vel Satis range by providing a fleet of vehicles
with drivers, who will deliver a first-class experience
for VIPs throughout Events Week (22-31 May) in
Plymouth. The Espace, is one of Renault's most
original and successful cars, which will be celebrating
its 20th anniversary at The Transat 2004.
Additionally,
Renault will support the public side of Events
Week by bringing one of its Formula One cars to
the race village, so that the general public can
appreciate, first-hand, an element of the Formula
1 experience. Renault is a leading player in the
world of Formula 1 motor-sport and an association
with The Transat brings together two sports that
run at the leading edge of technology. They will
also be showcasing their three new Renault sport
road cars, the Clio 182, Megane 225 and mid-engined
Clio V6 255.
Graeme
Holt, PR Manager of Renault UK, commented: "Single-handed
racing is often compared to Formula 1 motor-racing,
with drivers dependent on the teams behind them,
and we are very happy to be seen to support both
high-performance sports."
Musto
are producing all the official Transat clothing,
for both onshore and offshore use. This clothing
will be worn by The Transat race team and sponsors
and will also be sold on-site during Events Week
in Plymouth.
Nigel
Musto, Managing Director of Musto said: "Musto
support many of the world's largest sailing events,
including the America's Cup and the Volvo Ocean
Race. We are delighted to be able to add The Transat
2004 to this list."
Brittany
Ferries have confirmed that they will be the Official
Cross Channel Travel Partner for The Transat 2004.

on their ferries and in their European advertising.

list of supplier support for our historic race.
Each supplier brings fantastic expertise to The
Transat, which we know will help us deliver a
great event for all our stakeholders: the race
