Round
Britain & Ireland - Team7 Takes The Lead:
The
Firm Catch Up And Are Back In Race
6 Jun 2004 14:28 GMT In a dramatic move, Team7
have hauled in BP Explorer and have established
a small lead as the two lead yachts turn around
the northern most tip of the Shetland Islands
and head south.
Most
of the fleet have bunched up as the southerly
boats have maintained a better speed.
The
Firm, Besso and Team Save the Children are neck
and neck in position terms, Dee and her team on
The Firm taking the inside line which has really
paid off, currently recording the highest speed.
It looks like The Firm have finally worked their
way off the bottom of the position table which
they had occupied for the last few days.
The
breeze is due to stay moderate from the west for
the next few hours, allowing good progress for
all yachts, but after that it’s looking
pretty thin. Only time will tell if this leads
to more position changes.
