LONG BEACH, CA [JANUARY 3, 2004] -- The annual Rose Bowl Regatta, organized by the USC Varsity sailing team and hosted by Alamitos Bay YC in Long Beach, Calif., opened with chilly winds of 15 to 20 knots blowing over the inner bay Saturday. Competition among college teams from across the country and high school teams from throughout California was to wind up Sunday.
