the 10th
The
race to St-Nazaire has been shortened
As
expected the wind are very light at the moment.
As the 37-Mumm 30 fleet has been parked for a
while, the race committee has decided, at 17:15,
to shorten the 137-mile race from Camaret to St-Nazaire.
Therefore, the intermediate results of the passage
at the mark of Les Glénans are now the
official results of this leg.
Student
boat CSC ESSEC snatches the victory ahead of another
student boat Met & Maison Bermudes Centrale
Paris. Pierre Loïc Berthet¹s Bouygues
Telecom, with Loïck Peyron as the navigator,
comes in third. The defending champions are back
into the overall lead as Julien Farnarier and
Marc Audineau finish in 18th position.
Disappointing
results as well for the foreign teams with the
Ausies of Southern Sun Team Australia coming in
20th and the Italians of Joey Fly Sailing Team
in 23rd.
The
crews will finish the leg motoring and should
reach St-Nazaire at about midnight.
