Snipe
World Championship 2003 Borstahusen Sweden
Day
4, race number 6
Takuya
Miyaguchi and Akiko Kobayashi’s from Japan
surprised everyone today with their win. Their
best result this week has been a 33rd place. The
sailing conditions today were quite different
from the other five races. The wind has come from
the northwest compared with light southeastern
wind of today. George Szabo and Brian Janney from
the United States were the second boat to cross
over the finishing line but were disqualified
due to an early start. George Szabo and Brian
Janney have protested against their disqualification
and if
they can prove that they were not over the starting
line, they will be in second place instead of
in third place.
In
the lead is Augie Diaz with Jon Rogers, also from
the United States. The United States is the most
probable nations to win this Snipe World Championship.
Augie Diaz and Jon Rogers are 9.25 points ahead
of Francisco and Martina Sánches from Spain
that are in second place. The final race is tomorrow.
