Day
Two of the Snipe World Championship
After
two days of racing, Carlos Henrique Wanderley
and Richard Zietemann from Brazil are leading
the Snipe World Championship with 20.75 points.
They are 4.25 points a head of Francisco and Marina
Sánches from Spain. In third place after
today’s races are the ruling world champions,
Alexandre and Eduardo Paradeda from Brazil, with
31 points.
After three general recalls and one individual
recall, the first race of the day could finally
start. The wind speed was about 17 knots and the
current, that cost some of the sailors quite a
few places yesterday, was not as strong. The juniors,
Bryan Lake and Graham Biehl from the United Stated,
won the third race. They came in second place
at the Junior Snipe World Championship 2002 in
Cleveland and are in 12th place after today’s
races.
