Lorenzo
Bodini leads his team “Amer Sport Too”
To
success in the “Promosail Trophy”
Tommorrow,
unison between team “Ericsson” and
the “Luchetta-Ota-D’Angelo- Hrovatin”
Foundation for children that are victims of war.
Trieste,
08 October 2003
The
appointment is set in the Gulf of Trieste, Italy,
for 16:30, from the docks of Port San Rocco, to
unite both sport and solidarity in honor of a
humanitarian objective.
Tommorrow
is dedicated to the children which are victims
of war, those which are taken care of by the “Luchetta-Ota-D’Angelo-Hrovatin”
Foundation. This foundation takes care of children
with illnesses caused by war or children that
cannot be treated due to the poverty caused by
war. The foundation was created in honor of those
journalists who lost their lives by throwing their
bodies on top of the children that they were trying
to save.
Tommorrow,
team “Ericsson” (helmed by Mauro Pelaschier
with Max Sguario Project manager) will take 12
of the children who are being treated by the foundation
so that they can look forward to something unique
and fun. The boat “Ericsson” is a
Frers 65 and it will participate in one of the
most crowded regattas in the world- the 35th edition
of the Barcolana Race, a race with well over two
thousand boats.
Meanwhile,
in today’s races Team Amer Sport Too, helmed
by the Olympic sailors, Lorenzo Bodini, and his
twin brother Marco won the Promo Sail Trophy.
Along with the two brothers is Andrea Trani, recent
world winner of the 470 class. Second place for
Magic Jena and third place for Garda Azzurra.
Tommorrow,
Bodini will again race in yet another event in
this Barcolana Sailing week, which is the Fincantieri
Cup. He will yet again try to lead his team of
“Amer Sport Too” (which will race
on Sunday with Top Female sailor Miranda Merron
who sailed on Amer Sport Too during the last Volvo
Ocean Race).
