After almost 27 hours of navigation, Darko Hajdinjak, on board of "Scor Team" is the first to cross the finish line in the Alpe Adria Sailing Tour, on the Pola-Sibenik leg of about 130 miles. The race, which took place yesterday morning at around 11 o?clock from Pola, ended today at 13:46 in the south of Croatia, when the first of the twelve identical Solaris 36 OD crossed the finish line, thus entering the port of Sibenik.

Behind "Scor Team", by a margin of 45'25" secs, "Barcolana" finished the race. At the helm of this boat is Nevio Sabadin, who came in just seconds before Peter Holmberg's "BMW Tomic"

A great result for the boat "Friuli Venezia Giulia", managed by the University students of the Cus (Center of University Students), who had managed a wonderful race staying ahead of the fleet in second position until the ended in fourth place only an hour after "Scor Team". "contrary to the other teams-added Marco Sartori, leader of the Region Friuli Venezia Giulia boat- we all alternated at the helm, giving us time to rest during this very long leg, and we came in with a good finish."

It was a unanimously considered difficult leg by all those who participated, due to constant shifts of wind and increasing and decreasing of wind. Hundreds of lovers of the sport cheered the teams and welcomed the teams to the docks. Peter Holmberg, visibly tired, confessed that "it's been ten years since I've done such a long race, and even though it was really fun, it was also very strange having contasntly to do restarts due to the decrease and wind shifts. The weather was very uncertain and unstable and it caused constant changes in the placements during the race"

At the end of the sixth leg of ten expected during this tour ( the end of the Alpe Adria Sailing Tour is expected for the 22 May in Dubrovnik), "City of Split" remains the leader in the overall results, followed by "BMW Tomic" and "Barcolana" in third place. "City of Aquileia" with Marco Augelli at the wheel, with a sixth place for today, drops down to fifth place followed by "Scor Team", while the region boat "Friuli Venezia Giulia" gets closer to the women's team of "Val Nautika" still in ninth place.

Tomorrow is a day of rest and the boast will restart their tour on Wednesday with a race in front of Sibenik. On Thursday the race takes off for the port of Split.
