The Race was conceived by French sailing hero, Bruno Peyron, as the ultimate global sailing event. It is the first-ever no-limits, non-stop, no-assistance ‘round the world sailing competition and has attracted the talents of the world’s elite sailors. The “no-limits” concept allows the world’s fastest mono and multihulls to compete on an equal footing. The largest multihull will be Playstation at 125 feet (37 meters). The size of the sailing vessels will be limited only by imagination, engineering and available funds. The Leaders expect to circumnavigate the globe in 60 days, averaging over 400 miles a day.
