Match Tour - Toscana Elba Cup: Trofeo Locman Finalizes

STAMFORD,
CT, USA (November 11, 2003) – The Toscana
Elba Cup – Trofeo Locman, the fifth event
on Swedish Match Tour 2003/2004, has set the event
dates for the third edition of this match racing
classic for May 2-9, 2004.
Organized
by Elba Tourism and local towns, native yacht
clubs manage the Toscana Elba Cup – Trofeo
Locman racing. Teams at the Toscana Elba –
Trofeo Locman compete for a share of the minimum
100,000 Euro prize purse, among the largest on
the Swedish Match Tour.
Elba,
the largest of the Tuscan Islands, and third largest
island in Italy after Sicily and Sardinia, is
located 6.5 miles off the Italian coast. With
a rich sailing tradition, Elba has most recently
served as home to the training bases for the two
Italian challenges for America’s Cup 2003,
the Prada Challenge and Mascalzone Latino.
