Winner of Round Britain and Ireland 2002 joins forces with Gnosis Performance

Ross Hobson and his record breaking 40’ multihull ‘Mollymawk’ are joining forces with Gnosis Performance, who will manage Hobson’s sponsorship programme for the 2003 season of world events including several record breaker attempts, such as the Bermuda-Plymouth transatlantic dash.

Hobson and team mate Andi Newman beat the competition to win the Round Britain and Ireland 2 handed race in June 2002 (10 days 20 hours) which adds to Ross’s many successes in offshore monohull and multihull projects. The story of the Round Britain and Ireland win will be featured in a forthcoming documentary due for broadcast by the BBC during the Autumn this year.

‘Mollymawk’ is one of the fastest 40’ racing yachts in Europe with an enviable CV of sailing achievement including the solo and 2-handed transatlantic records and the 1998 and 2002 RB&I overall – the first boat to do so.
