This episode has been getting favorable reviews and enjoyed by all sailors and non-sailors who have watched.

Caution: some scenes may frighten and scare some of your more risk-adverse, non-adventurous family members! Don't let them keep you from racing!

Here is what Robert Feder, Chicago Sun-Times media columnist reported: "The Weather Channel teams up with Chicago-based Towers Productions to launch the network's first Monday-through-Friday long-form series. "Storm Stories" debuts at 7 p.m. Monday and uses a docudrama reporting style to recall instances of ordinary people surviving extraordinary weather events.

Based on a screening of a Jan. 20 episode about the riveting life-and-death ordeal of a crew competing in last summer's Chicago-to-Mackinac yacht race, Towers brings its gold standard production values to the series. Host is The Weather Channel meteorologist Jim Cantore. "
