Callahan
Dominates Millenium Regatta
NEWPORT,
R.I. (September 12, 2003) - Seven first-place
finishes earned Paul Callahan, Keith Burhans and
Roger Cleworth the title at the recently held
fourth annual Millenium Regatta hosted by Shake-A-Leg-Newport.
Racing in Sonars, the trio finished second in
race four of the eight-race series for a near-perfect
scoreline. Finishing second, six points back,
was the Newport team of Robie Pierce with crew
Al Pierce and Paul Mello. In the five-boat Freedom
fleet, Weekapaug skipper Tim Flynn won that division
by three points over Skip Doyle (Buffalo, N.Y.),
also after eight races.
Callahan,
Burhans and Cleworth are campaigning “Team
Paul Callahan – CVS/pharmacy” with
an eye toward the 2004 Paralympic Games. Callahan
(Bourne, Mass.) and Burhans (Irondequoit, N.Y.)

the 2000 Paralympic Games in the Sonar class.

Paul Callahan –
CVS/pharmacy.” All three are members of
the 2003 US Disabled Sailing Team.
The
USA’s 2004 Paralympic Team Trials-Sailing,
are scheduled to be held November 5-14, 2003,
