Metmarine expand European forecast areas providing in English via the Internet, your mobile, and even SMS text forecasts, storm warnings, even wave heights, all with easy dial in support for sailing, boating, surfing in UK or Europe.

Earlier this year Metmarine SARL signed an agreement with Météo France to provide marine weather forecasts for the Mediterranean, in English. Now the areas also cover the Atlantic Coast of France, The English Channel and The North Sea. Access is via SMS or Internet or Telephone for wave heights, storm warnings, charts and forecasts. Commercial and leisure marine users will now benefit from a more accessible and accurate weather information service with “detail” covering their area and dedicated wave height forecasts as well as the coastal and large area forecasts.

Every day www.metmarine.com offers multi day forecasts, together with synoptic charts updated including sea state, wave heights, temperature, storm warnings, large area Mediterranean forecasts, detailed coastal forecasts (e.g. Côte d'Azur, Corsica, UK Channel). In addition, using new technology you can listen to the information via freefone in France 0800 9000 51 or via UK telephone numbers, and you can also receive information via SMS direct to your mobile phone.

Charges for viewing the multi day forecasts and synoptic charts via the web are 2€ (£1.40) for 2 hours. To use the freefone service simply dial 0800 9000 51 in France and follow the instructions; To hear a demonstration, subscribe or access the service when in England dial 087 0064 1777. To receive the wave heights or storm warnings via SMS the costs are 2€ (£1.40) for each warning or wave height list sent. Prices include VAT.
